SA1 and Chinese 'O' Levels are coming.. RAWR.
Guess i'll be absent from blogging for a while.
I don't think i will have the spare time to blog if i want to do well -_-
Well apparently, if i don't do well, i probably wont have a chance to even get my ass online ever again.. (Well at least for the rest of the year that is)

Right, now i'll talk about how last week sucked.

Firstly, while i was going to fall asleep...
I heard a sound.
"Clonk" coming from the fan.
I thought it was nothing, but just some kinda noise generated by the Mechanisms.
But of course, as always, I WAS WRONG.
Cus i felt something land om my foot. like a bug or something.
I jolted up and switched on the light on my phone.
I found nothing.
So i ignored it, and tried to fall asleep.
But while i was going to fall asleep.
I felt something beneath my foot.
I got up, and swiched on the light on my phone again.
Guess wad i saw.
A moth.
Dead.
and my foot?
COVERED IN POWDER.
I swear my foot turned silver in colour LOL.
Yea and luckily it didn't itch.
So i went to wash my feet,
and organised a funeral for that moth
LOL nah im not bored to that extent..
Not like those mission day freaks. Funeral for class pet?
lolx. Anyway, i jus let the moth drift out my window. (KILLER LITTER LOL)
Let the winds carry him to his final place of eternal rest T_T
lolx. sounds so sad.
And yea, after that, i went to slepp... ZzZ

Secondly, on monday, we had softball practice. (More like baseball)
Yea and that time, we were practising on how to catch the ball.
Well the ball, is practically a baseball.
And i was stupid enough, to attempt to catch the ball, with my bare hands.
Yea i caught the ball. yay.
But my finger got injured somehow.
It hurt so much that i can't even hold my pen properly for the whole day.
The feeling right after my finger got hit, was... Great.
My hand trembled.. Alot.. (" trembled like nobody's business").
and i cudn't even aim the ball properly..
And guess wad..
CHEM TEST AFTER RECESS ON THE SAME DAY.
WAAHAHHA. die.
lols. Fortunately, it didn't hurt as much, so i was able to barely write.
At that moment, i tink my left hand can write neater than my right hand.

Right. Thirdly, on wednesday i tink, there was this freaking heavy rain that owned everyone.
The OM was like.. Gd afternoon schfool, St Gabriel's is marked as a high lightning risk region, please refrain from outdoor activities. Thankyou.
or somethin like that.
We all thought.. Wa nvm la lightning only.
Ian was like.. Nevermind.. Lightning will only affect mortals! LOL
Yea. so we were like, nvm since its only a drizzle.
So everyone stayed back for some chem remedial if im not mistaken.
Then.
The rain got heavier... and heavier... and heavier...
To the extent where lightning actually struck the place just outside our class.
And well. The rain was so heavy that i cant hear my own voice.
And yea, we squashed ourselves into bus 158 once we got dismissed.
Poor kyung didnt manage to get in.
ah well. then a few stops later, i alighted. Guess wad i saw.
A RIVER. RIVER RIVER!! RIVER!! AAA.

The next day, it spun itself a cocoon. woot!

But the saddest part is..
The cocoon disappeared. A week later.

Seems like we'd really need a funeral. T_T

Its my neighbourhood pet XD
It doesnt belong to me.
Rather, its a stray seeking shelter at one of the households close to mine.
It sorta hangs around there all day, so u can say they adopted it.
So basically, every morning, when i walk pass that household to school.

It would follow me. For quite a distance and if i stop, it would lie down on my shoes.
Rubbing its head on my shoes and stuff.
Then it would lean on my leg. and stuff like that.
I wud end up having my pants, rather covered with fur.
So as u can see
The cat is doing what he usually does.
Lying down on the floor next to my shoe, aww.
so cute XD
Basically, thats quite a form of motivation for me to go to school LOL

Kk, thats all for now i guess.
i Tink i'll be gone for at least a month or 2, until Early june / mid june.
Chinese 'O's would be on 28th may.

Ah yes, this one is intersting.. Yeah u know we were tasked to open up 3-in-1 coffee packets, and empty them into some huge container. and guess what, they gave us like 100 PACKS of 3-in-1 coffee, each pack has around 30 packets of coffee.. omg... Yea and so, we went on to open each pack then emptying them into those "buckets".. And like 3% of the time, we would come across something we called, "ROCK COFFEE". I duno how this occured, but when we opened the packet of coffee powder, what we saw, is just a slab of 'rock coffee', tink its harder than rock.. -_-

Great..
it rained for 2 days straight and i feel like crap now
i bet the temp now's around 23deg..

yea yea.. im into GBA games again.. -.-
lols recently, i completed a game called Riviera: The Promised Land
its quite fun la. at least for me.

There are a few interesting parts to note.
Quite new for GBA rpgs like this

1. There is no currency in the game.
As items are obtained thru "treasure chests" throughout the game.
Even the best equipment is also obtained in such a manner

2.There are no mazes or confusing dungeons alike in the game.
Kinda suprising that an rpg actually left out such aspects.
Yea. most of the part is like.. screen by screen.
and an area consists of about 4 or more "screens" linked directly together
no puzzle or wadsoever. Of course there are exceptions. where certain areas
ARE CONFUSING AS HELL. nvm at least this isnt like Golden Sun. its like...
THE WHOLE DAMN GAME IS ABOUT MAZES AND CONFUSING STUFF WTF
yea that stuff makes the game boring if u cant "solve" the "puzzles"

3.In battles theres the scoring system.
Where the score of your battle is determined by the number of turns you took
to annhilate the enemy, as well as the finishing move. Finishing move refers
to the move you used to finish off the last of the enemies. Using the special
abilities of your characters to finish off the enemy gets u an S rank if the special skill is of high level that is. the ranks are, (in descending order) S, A, B, C
The higher the score of the battle, the better you'd score for the chapter(duh!) and of course, the more TP you'd get. Explained in point 6.

5.Each character has a special skill for different types of weapons. This skill can be "learnt" through using the weapons more than the amount of times you need to fill the EXP bar. Each time you use the weapon, the EXP fills up by a fraction. So to use the skills, your Overdrive bar, must be at the level of the skill.

Confusing? kk look. you gain overdrive by getting hit, or hitting the enemies. The bar is divided into 3 sections. if the first section fills up. its a level one Overdrive. and a level one special skill, from either of the characters in battle, can be used. k now that its clearer. I'll explain further. The level of the skill is determined by the character's nature. EG. A mage specialises in Rods / Staves. and her Staff, shud have a level 3 Overskill. yea and if she uses a rapier or something, she wouldn't even learn an overskill, depending on what weapons she can use. its displayed in the status screens of each character.

(btw. Special skills are called OVERSKILL)[Comment: Lol sounds like overkill]

Lastly, an EXL overskill can only be used by the Grim Angels. Its part of the storyline already so i wont explain much. Basically, your main character is a Grim Angel and you know what i mean. EXL overskills break the Overdrive bar, and is of higher level than a level 3 overskill. By breaking the overdrive bar, it means you can not charge the bar again in this particular battle. Perfect for finishing moves.

6.Instead of the puzzle thing, they included a "Look" mode
where the character well yea, looks around for clues to treasure?
yea that. and in look mode, you can select which object to "look" at.
where most objects are useless. Each look action consumes one TP
and TPs are gained in battles.

7.The characters are drawn Anime style YAY.
lol this is a personal preference. so you may not like the fact that the characters look like this in anime.

Yea alot more benefits. Generally the storyline isnt bad. its quite sad at some points. which makes it nice. ah well my only dissatisfaction is that at the end of the game, no one mentioned Ledah, the main character's old friend, who became his enemy due to opposing goals, and he is also the one who died to protect the main character in the end. It makes me think that they are enjoying themselves and did not spend even a moment to mourn about their lost friend. -.-| seems like they forgotten all about him.

at first, i thought the day's gonna b real bad.
lol i was wrong.
First, i got gastric pain early in the morning..
-_- yea and it hurts real bad.
perhaps its becus i didnt really eat much of a breakfast yesterday
and i spent my day yesterday cleaning the house.
then i spent the night doing my colossal STACK chinese homework.
zZzZ 6 comprehension passages, 9 multiple choice comprehension passages.
omgzx man, i spent like 4-5 hours doing them.
To make things worse, i forgot to bring my P.E Shorts... oh GAWD

lol luckily, my gastric pain gave me enough of an excuse to not go for PE
so i managed to escape pumping.
furthermore, for some reaons, mr foo did not call my name for the retest
although i failed. -.- thats dam weird.
nvm but its interesting la, we'll be training for the next 4 weeks.
lol aint this the same as retest?
at least somewhat la. but i'll b asking mr foo next week ba..
i dun wan to ditch those re-testers by covering the truth.
ah well

then during SS period. we got teh surprised. zomg
the japanese students from another school, came here O_o
lol. and we cud use the 2 periods of SS, to talk to them,
give them a tour ard the sch etc etc.
woot now thats much more fun than having SS lessons all the way with them.
i was able to speak crap japanese, they could understand me barely
and my crap japanese is simply embarassing in front of their intimidating fluent japanese.
then they sang 2 songs for us..
feels kinda off, they came here, and performed for us.
wad da heck? i thought we were supposed to do something like that instead
since we are the hosts. perhaps we cud sing the sch song for them XDD
but it was nice to note that i cud actually understand the lyrics of their songs.

to make it look like they lost someone important XDD
then he put the grasshopper into a matchbox and stuck out 4 matches from the edges.
this way, they can carry the "coffin" LOL
They made whichever junior who walked past, bow 3x to the coffin LOL
they made them donate money for charity as well LOL

after that, they walked around other classes, crying on the way, in 2 neat rows. LOL
and someone made the sound of chanting, usually heard in funerals.

then in the end, they went to dig a hole, and lower the coffin into the hole by strings attached to the 4 corner sticks.

Although visual novels may contain "H-scenes" most of the time..
it doesnt really catch my attention too much.
I see them as a.. well secondary part of the game.
What i find most important is the storyline.
i mean its like..
Who in the right mind wud wan to play something full of sick stuff yet without a storyline?
I guess thats wad u call, playing aimlessly. -.-
Besides, for Tsukihime, the drawings and h stuff were rather crappy
so i didnt pay too much attention to them.
more importantly, i havbe got teh english translation..

at last i can at least understand what the characters are crapping about.
even though i know at least 2% of conversational japanese.
it is almost impossible for me to decipher those paragraphs of Scribbly LINES.

Wee i jus completed Shingetsutan Tsukihime, the visual novel.
well theoretically, i DID complete it, but in fact, i only completed one of the paths
EG there are 4 different people that the charcter can end up with, depending on the choices that you make.
For each of them, there is a True End, and Good End.
when put in simple terms, theres a sad and a happy ending for each character the main guy ends up with.
the game is more like a game with 2d anime characters
except for the fact u get to choose the main character's fate
as in, who he ends up being with for the rest of his life.

oh also, the characters themselves dont talk,
well the text just appear, and u will have to read em.
this explains that dumb name "Visual Novel"

Argh, im making this post excruciatingly long. tink i'll explain more on VNovels in my next post.

Anyways.. as compared to the w800i i used..

1. Message Capacity: 1000, much more w800i's puny 200+ capacity

2. Navigational joystick is changed into a key pad format instead.
Eliminates the possiblilty of joystick spoilage common in SE phones

3. Comes with a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. for W800i, its a 512MB Stick.

4. Able to view folders outside of the phone's operational folders.
ie, a folder in the root directory of the memory stick, not inside the default folders, can actually be accessed. W800i does not have this feature.

5. 5 Recurrent alarms are available, as compared to w800i's 1. Recurrent alarm system improved.

6. Walkman Player improved, The Orange bar (walkman button) actually glows when the walkman is active.

C0ns

1. In w850i the text could not keep up with the speed of my fingers.
As in, when u press number "3" 3 times, occasionally,
it gives you an "E" instead of a "F". I call this.. SMS LAG. Worst lag i have ever seen.

2. The 2.0 Megapix cam, seems to be lacking "Intelligence" in the area of White-Balancing.
It is where outdoor pics look exceptionally yellow in white areas, or
in door pics looking a little too blueish. However, the w800i does better in this
aspect.

Theres an obvious difference...

3. The default animated themes acutally lag. Even though it has a feature of
displaying the name of the song that is currently playing, it lags even more when
doing so.

4. Annoying Light sensor on top of the phone. This particular sensor, detects the
light intensity of the phone's environment and adjusts the brightness of the screen
according to intensity levels. The more light there is, the brighter the screen will
be. But, when in indoor conditions, under flourescent lighting, the sensor sometimes,
seem to malfunction, as in, it is unable to determine the correct light intensity..
Resulting in... u know, the brightness of your screen changing every second or so.
Brightening and Darkening all the while.. VERY Distractive. Especially when you are
typing a message.

5. The Flash light is inferior to that of the w800i, as in, it only has one 'bulb',
whereas, in the w800i, it has two, and the light in w800i tends to b "cooler" (as in the color of the light) than that of the w850i.

6. Its battery life loses to that of the w800i. At least thats what i feel.

7. A characteristic of the new generation SE phones, big Animated .GIF images, tend to lag when viewed or set as wallpaper.

All in all... i feel that this phone is pretty good for people who are getting their first 3G phones. For the more savvy people, this isnt the phone u might want. Try another phone. There is too much to be improved upon for this model.

quite cool actually, if u really look at it..
they have done quite well for a start, since its bigger than most of ours..
great effort put in.. i guess...
